Bitumen Emulsion
Iran Bitumen Emulsion Grades: CRS, CMS, CSS
Bitumen Emulsion is a mixture of Bitumen and water and emulsifier (a surface active agent). Since bitumen cannot be mixed with water, it needs to add an emulsifier with water before adding bitumen. Emulsifier comforts breaking of bitumen into minute particles and keeps it dispersed in suspension.
To produce the bitumen emulsion, water is mixed with a proper emulsifying agent. Then add bitumen with the water-emulsifier mix. The amount of bitumen to be added with water can be from 40% to 70% depends on bitumen emulsion uses.
